Arnold T. Ardevela

MD, MBA, CCS, CPC, CPC-I, COC, C-CDI, CCDS, CIC, CRC


Arnold Ardevela is a medical school graduate from the Philippines and having over 25 years of coding experience Arnold has been able to transform that experience into a comprehensive learning program to help others begin their own career as a Healthcare Professional.

Arnold also serves as President and owner of AE & Associates, LLC. With a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, he has been able to establish one of the most successful consulting, auditing and staffing firms for hospitals, physician groups and other healthcare organizations in Southern California and other parts of the nation. This in turn ensures that students are provided with the necessary tools to successfully fill today's health community's increasing need for well trained and qualified healthcare professionals.

Before starting his businesses, Arnold was an Inpatient and Outpatient coder and auditor with many employers including Corona Regional Medical Center, QuadraMed, Delano Regional Medical Center, and St. Vincent Hospital just to name a few.

Lori Zipperstein-Karbus

CCS


Lori Zipperstein-Karbus is a Senior Inpatient Coder, Coding Auditor and Coding Practicum Instructor. She holds a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She has over 12 years of coding experience and has worked for many facilities including Mercy Hospital, Providence Healthcare, Redlands Community Hospital, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Moreno Valley Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Parkview Community Hospital, Valley Hospital, Dignity Health, and USC Medical/ Cancer Center. Lori has many years of experience coding complicated, trauma, and high dollar accounts as a Senior Coder and Auditor. She was also a Coding Practicum Instructor at Loma Linda School of Allied Health teaching students hands-on coding for Tier I Trauma medical records. When she's not coding, auditing or teaching, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband and dog hiking, biking, and traveling.

 

Because of her years of coding and teaching experience, we are excited to have Lori teach the Inpatient Coding Workshop as she will bring a wealth of knowledge and fresh and interactive teaching style to AE & Associates, LLC and Tri-County Allied Health School course offerings.

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?


  • Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) specialists, coding managers/ supervisors, Outpatient, Profee, Risk Adjustment coders
  • Credentialed AHIMA or AAPC medical coders
  • 2 years of Medical Coding experience (hospital experience is recommended, but not required)
  • Previous completion of ICD-10 PCS course, training or seminar highly recommended

    SCHOOL POLICIES


    • All classes must be paid in full prior to or on first day of class
    • No refunds
    • Only one course may be purchased at a time
    • All classes are recorded in transcripts as COMPLETE or INCOMPLETE
    • Completion is based on payments made in full and 80% attendance
    • All assignments and tests are on a PASS or FAIL basis
    • No certificates of completion are issued
    • AHIMA or AAPC certifications will serve to aid students in gaining employment
    • Handout materials are included in the tuition
    • Federal or state funds are not accepted for payments for classes
    • Fees to sit for the National Certification examinations are not part of the tuition of Tri-County Allied Health School nor are they collected by this institution
    • All testing fees are paid directly to the organization that governs the examination
